A bonus of running alcohol is that your motor runs cooler. The bad news is that two storkes (like all motors) have an optimum operating temperature, running alcohol may make the motor unable to reach this temp.
Also, a motor will burn more alcohol than gas, so consumption is up. |
AdminDude did his homework. Attaschoolboy.
Homework sucks! But its nesessary.
Motors are easily converted to alcohol, but each motor is different.
The principal motor modification is the
enlargement of the carburetor jet(s).
With the jet removed You will want to enlarge the
area of the jet about 27% for ethanol and 40% for methanol.
In addition to the carburetor jets, there is
also the problem of cold starting.
Alcohol has a higher latent heat of
vaporization than gasoline.....
That said "If there is will, there is a way."
Ahhhhh screw it! I'd rather drink it!
Nurse another Gibsons please...
whats that, Inthelead83Dude hasn't sent it yet!
