Default how to change your starter prawl

hello everyone and welcome to my tutorial on how to change your starter prawl. You may recognize me from another tutorial on trouble shooting if your bike is stalling. Now shall we continue.

1. First thing is first make sure your front fairing is off.

2. Locate each of the screws on the pull starter and unscrew

3. Locate the Screw in the middle and take it out.

Note: You may have some difficulty in taking it off thats why huckster and noted a while ago that you should use a impact screwdriver. But if you are like me a simple minded person who finds a way around anything I could, you can also use some needle nose Vise Grips.

4. Take out the spring next

5. Take out the starter Prawl by twisting it out counter-clockwise and gentally lifting it at the same time.

6. Then take out the little white thing (could someone pm me what it is called please)

Here is what all of the Parts Should look like:

7. Then take your new prawl and put it in, it should just turn in there nice and easily

8. Put the white thing back in, it should fit into the 2 inserts located on the inside of the prawl.

9. Drop the Spring back in

10. On the screw you will need lock tight so get some of that and put some lock tight on the last few threads because it will come to the top as you are screwing it in.

11. Next you can screw the starter back onto the engine remember these screw placements.

Incase you were wondering the S.E.R stands for Shawn Emery Racing
