If you have a signature, please know that the link is automatically appended with a rel="nofollow" tag. Basically what this means is that your links will not be followed by search engines. As any decent webmaster knows, search engines rank link popularity based on how many sites a link can be found at.

Your link may be found by search engines by text, but not included in your link popularity. This is done to prevent sig spam, and also to ensure our advertisers are getting their money's worth.

Also of note is that new users will not have their signature displayed until they reach 5 posts. Again this is to prevent signature spam.
