Scheduled Downtime

Pocketbikeforum is going to undergo a number of updates on Sunday April 15 2007 starting around 10:00PM CST and ma last a number of hours while upgrades are completed.

Upgrades will include forum software and backend updates. The forum must be disabled for a number of these updates so users will see a message saying the forum is closed for maintenance.

I have scheduled this downtime late in the evening in the hopes that this will minimize the impact to members and visitors.

A full backup will be made before so we can ensure that no data is lost. In the event of an upgrade failure we will simply be able to fall back on the update.

To be honest I'm not 100% sure if users will notice any changes. There may be a few new features. Whatever happens I'll make an announcement and let everyone know.

The upgrades are complete and a success. Upgrading took a total of approximately four hours.

Users will not see a lot of improvements, however there is the addition of social networking links. If you are a member of one of these social networking sites you can add the link to a specific post to that site.

Things I still must do:
1) fix the table widths on the home page (fixed)
2) remove centering on forum displays (fixed)

If you notice anything missing or causing an issue please let me know in this thread so it can be tracked and taken care of.

Apparently email notifications are not working. This was probably caused by the upgrades and I will look into this shortly. (Issue should be fixed now)
