Default first day and my muffler melted my gas tank

i got an mx3 from minipocketrockets.com. i assembled it and rode it for awhile..parked it..rode it a lil more...after the 2nd tank of gas i filled it up again and the gas was pouring out..so i tipped it upside down and noticed the muffler had melted the gas tank..and now i'm not happy...i only had been riding it like 5 minutes at this session before it melted...=\

first get a new tank, then get heat resistant foil tape and put it on the bottom of your new tank. that sucks, but lesson learned.

thanx for the tip. the customer service rep said i could print out the RMA form and they'd send me new parts..i'm wondering if i should tell them that my carb came all smashed up with broken ports and get a free carb, lol =D i think i probably deserve it after all my trouble..i'm lucky that my tank didn't catch on fire and kill me or something..but will heat resistant tape really insulate that well while actually touching the exhaust? i work at an autozone and could get plenty..

today i patched my tank up with 'seal-all' and then i lined the bottom of it with a muffler bandage kit, which is a pretty ingenious kit because the tube that contains the activator also doubles as part of the patch system,u cut the ends off the tube and slit it down the side and unfold it into a square and voila! a patch!

Default running alcohol in a pocketbike

i was just wondering about running isopropyl rubbing alcohol in a pocketbike, i think that it burns better and cooler and makes a lot more power. i was thinking about running it in my bike tommorow as an experiment... u dont need a special alcohol carb. to do that,do u? was wondering what kind of info you guys could give to me.

i would send it back and make them give me a new bike dude, thats stupid for the exhuast to touch, is the pipe welded at a bad angle enough to make it touch the tank? or does it have the wrong tank on it?
