| dude you can just ad an extra gasket or 2,but davesmotorsports has them and motoadrenaline.com has them also. i just added 2 more gaskets(add gasket maker between each, and it makes a big difference, adds more crank case volume,to much of a spacer hurts top end power, remember that 3mm is as far as i would go!hope this helps friend |

| i asked around and this is a response i got from someone else: "Its better to make a spacer out of something that's already thick enough to make a difference in reed lift rather than stacking a whole bunch of gaskets together. Couple of reasons for that. One, a load of gaskets shifting around when you nip the mounting screws up is a recipe for vacuum leaks, and two, when someone looks at your bike it will appear that you know what you're doing and not a twonk. The spacer wants to be at least 3mm thick(plus a gasket each side making closer to 4mm) to be of any use at all. That would be a lot of gaskets. 3mm or 1/8" sheet aluminum is flavor of the month. Be sure to put it under the reedcage not on top and under the manifold like my friend did. I don't think I have to tell you who looked like the twonk that day." so i guess using a bunch of gaskets isnt a great idea. how would u go about cutting 3mm aluminum?

| guess is as good as mine,i just added 1 extra case to reed gasket with gasket glue between each and mine runs way better,it work for me so i guess i know what i am talking about but to each is own try what they said, mine looks just as good as it did before i added the extra and i didn`t tell you to add a bunch just one or two, besides whos going to see it while your riding around? and you don`t tighten the screws till your wrist hurts anyway, just snug them good, how will it leak air if you put gasket glue between each piece?including the manafold gasket and carb?that someone you asked doesn`t know as much as he says....sorry and yes you put them on before you put the reed block back in gasket glue on both sides of the gaskets, thin layers, gasket glue-gasket,gasket glue-gasket,gasket glue- reed block, gasket glue- manifold gasket, gasket glue-manifold,gasket glue carb gasket, gasket glue -carb just do like that but put the glue on your finger tip and rub it on the gasket, thin layer just to cover the gasket and the next piece DON`T just squirt it all over everything!hope it helps friend OH and it doesn`t help reed lift,it adds more crankcase volume more room for air/fuel mix to be stored till the piston comes down, like i said who ever told you the above is retarded!!! sorry thats just my opinion Last edited by cag07 : 07-02-2007 at 05:27 PM. |

| k u guys need to understand this part. WPG racer is talkin about a c2, not a cag. they are 2 different reed intake systems, on a cag the only way to have the reeds open further is to file down the reed stop, on a c2 you can either 1 add a reed spacer, or 2 file down the inside of the crankcase which is called porting.
