Default running alcohol in a pocket bike

i was just wondering about running isopropyl rubbing alcohol in a pocketbike, i think that it burns better and cooler and makes a lot more power. i was thinking about running it in my bike tommorow as an experiment... u dont need a special alcohol carb. to do that,do u? was wondering what kind of info you guys could give to me.

LMAO
no kidding ....... You know even if you succeed , i wouldn't do it !

But interested in what happens . Do you mix oil with the alcohol?
I would also have to ask , would it burn the same , meaning would it show the richness or leanness of the engine the same way as gas does on a spark plug.
Also would like to add , i am not a betting man , but i am going with a top end engine seize . Put on a lid , cause when your about to hit top speed i would hate to see ya hurt when the back tire locks up .

Of course it can work, mixtures wold have to be researched however to ensure that you don't detonate your motor.

A bonus of running alcohol is that your motor runs cooler. The bad news is that two storkes (like all motors) have an optimum operating temperature, running alcohol may make the motor unable to reach this temp.

Also, a motor will burn more alcohol than gas, so consumption is up.

AdminDude did his homework. Attaschoolboy.
Homework sucks! But its nesessary.
Motors are easily converted to alcohol, but each motor is different.
The principal motor modification is the
enlargement of the carburetor jet(s).
With the jet removed You will want to enlarge the
area of the jet about 27% for ethanol and 40% for methanol.
In addition to the carburetor jets, there is
also the problem of cold starting.
Alcohol has a higher latent heat of
vaporization than gasoline.....
That said "If there is will, there is a way."
Ahhhhh screw it! I'd rather drink it!
Nurse another Gibsons please...
whats that, Inthelead83Dude hasn't sent it yet!
Noooooooooooooooooooooo! SpawnDude........!

hey, i was at part source the other day, and they have nitros that you would add to your gas mixture, said it was for 2 stroke race engines (gokarts, dirtbikes...) wouldn't that be the same thing as adding alcohol, except less problems?

if its the same thing I have then no.. I have the octane boost from NOS and thats not nitrous... Nitrous Oxide is a gas and can't be added to fuel... it can be added to the air that is going in the carb though
