Recently I was made aware of BLATA s.r.o. contacting a dealer and demanding they stop selling "look alike" bikes. I do not have a copy of the C&D (Cease & Decist) letter yet but I will post any and all of them if someone sends them in.

The bikes they are going after are replica's made by chinese manufacturers. I am not sure at this time if Blata thinks these are counterfeits. They sure aren't counterfeit, and are not sold by reputable dealers as a counterfeit.

At this time I'd like to invite any dealer who has received a C&D to send it to me at support [at] worldwidepocketbikes [dot] com. If you wish, I will blank out your name and address and post it here.

If any Blata reps or dealers happen to see this, please let me know what is going on. I will gladly call you to discuss the situation how these dealers are supposedly infringing upon your copyright/trademark.

So far I have only found one trademark for Blata which is a wordmark application.

I would like to ask all users at this time to vote with their wallets and not support Blata or it's dealers until we find out what the situation is.

if i could afford a blata bike i would have one .no question about it..as far as them sending out c&d go for it..i hope they can shut someone down that is selling bikes..with their trademark on them..or calling them the real deal..as far as not suporting blata..
Blata rocks! they have been around for a long time and will be around for some time further..great product great craftsman ship..slowely i will be transfering china parts oof my china bike and buying blata hp parts to replace..

From what I understand, the replica's that these letters speak about do NOT have the blata trademark, they only LOOK like the blata bike.

I said that in my origional post, was I not clear enough?

well dunno what this all means , and understand from blatas point of veiw , but see it from the opposite side as well !

Blatas are real nice , I mean REAL nice ! And have to say they are a bike in a league of there own , when it comes to the craftsmanship, and yet to have seen , but have heard the performance is out standing !The reps do not stand a chance ( stock i mean )!
But to call them replicas to the point of a S+D order is a little weird for me , but again understand !

I'll need to wait and see what the C&D says. This is all I know for now. So far the dealer has only received a phone call which means nothing. The letter should be on it's way soon.

well in a round about way i think someone sent me one..mayby came from south of the border in the texas area?
or did it come from around the winnipeg area..dambed if i know now..might have got copy from somewheres else also..but cant find it..seems i got the pc and well..files seems to hide now..wish i was a guru like you admin..

It was apparently a lawyer from the southern US, I can't remember if it was Texas or not.

Were the bikes you were selling counterfeits or just cag look alikes that did NOT say Blata on them? Did you have them advertised as a Blata clone or copy?
