So what I'd like to know is...

Why is no one organizing a trip to these kinds of things where a bunch of people all go in one vehicle. Rent a vehicle for the weekend and no one has to worry about their ride breaking down.

If it costs one vehicle $200 for gas and there's 4 of them going (say 6 or 7 people) , then it would only cost $65 each if the vehicle rental was $200.

So why not pool up and save a ton of cash?

Actually I'm looking here and I see vehicles for rent for the weekend are as low as $85 for Friday until Tuesday. Sure they may be smaller cars but you can still fit 4 people nicely and they'd be cheap on gas.

What's wrong with sending the bikes in the trailer? Or get a bigger vehicle and tow a trailer?
