| Pocketbike Dealer | We all know how fun the sport is but only few of us have actually ridden their bikes on a track or in a racing environment. This is what the bikes are designed to do and I will guarantee you that after you have rode your bike on a track with other riders you will never again even consider riding anywhere else because it is that much fun! We are going to organize events at the Calgary Kart Track for pocket bike riding. The track is 1.2KM long and will be perfect for pocket bikes. ![]() In order to do this we need a certain amount of commitment to make it a go. The track costs are; $1,200 weekend day rental (8am – 5pm) • $500 weekday rental (8am – 5pm) • $750 evening weekend rental (5pm – dusk) • $600 evening weekday rental (5pm – dusk) We also have to supply our own insurance for liability which means that all riders may have to join the CMA. The yearly membership for the CMA is $60/person if we become a CMA sponsored organization which is another $600/year. So..…having said all that you’re probably wonder “what is this going to cost me and what kind of commitment do I have to make?” Here is a breakdown of what it will take; PBRA is going to pay the $600/yr to become a CMA association. Your cost will be; $60/yr for CMA membership (maybe) about $30/weekday evening event if we have a minimum of 20 people commit a week before by paying upfront. This payment will only be refunded if we do not ride the scheduled day. For every person above 20 the cost will go down accordingly. For example, if we get 30 riders out the cost will only be about $20/rider on a weekday evening event. Minimum riding gear is Snell 2000 approved helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, motorcycle cloves, shoes that cover the ankle bone and no bare skin. Leathers or riding suits preferred. If we get enough interest we can look at hosting events on the weekends if that works better for the majority of our members. We want to aim for having the first event in the middle of February (weather permitting) so we need a minimum of twenty riders to commit by Feb. 7/06. If you are in for sure let me know!! Contact me for more details. Don’t miss out! Until I have everything signed and sealed the insurance may change and therfore the cost to everyone. But when you see the track you would easily pay $50/event to ride it!! Besides, what does it cost you for a case of beer, night at the bar, to go to the movies or play golf??
