Default New bike wont start.

Just bought a pocketbike from toysforboys in calgary.

Well i also bought a performance clutch, carbon fibre reed, rocket key and an air filter with it. Took it all home and dissassembled and checked everything over with exception to taking apart the whole engine.

I installed the carbon fibre reed and the rocket key and proceeded to put everything back together. Went to fire er up and got nothing. So i checked everything over again,, checked the rocket key.

Put a spacer between the magneto and flywheel. Still nothing. Checked the sparkplugs. Pulled a few times, got a couple sparks completely random then after that nothing.

I was thinking the Coil might be messed up? And someone else mentioned cleaning the carb.

Is their anything else that may have caused this problem? Gas flow is good btw.

Any sort of manual for cleaning the carb?

check the gap on the magneto and coil (use a business card) take the rocket key out and try it again... you might have put it on the wrong way. if its the factory plug get a new one. take the new reeds out for now and put the old ones back in... you should re-jet the carb for a mod like reeds.for cleaning the carb, just take the bowl off the bottom and take the jet out which is in the middle and spray everying down with carb cleaner. hope that works for ya

doubt it's the fastest pocket bike known to mankind! (if the bike is a cag, it might be hard for it to open carbon fibre reeds)

What about some Ether Quick spray?

Its not recommended to use a lot but should i just give er a spray to get it "over the hump" so to speak?

I have spark and my rocket key and all else including fuel lines are good.

Cleaning the carb and Jet out did the TRICK! Bike must have been sitting around a while cause the Jet was completely clogged with goop.

Cheers,, Mod time

Alright,, so just after this last post the bike was running like MINT. I came back to my house, crashed for 8hrs of sleep. Got up in the morning to see if shed fire up again,, It did so i went about doing other stuff. Came back a few hrs later and No go.

I look down and see that when i open the petcock valve open gas is leaking out of the bottom of the carb (Looks like right out of the little hose).

I tightened the screws on the float bowl, tried dropping the rear end of the bike a couple times.

Does this mean i have to take apart the carb again and clean it all out including fuel lines? All possible problems would be good to know.
