Default New 49cc no start problem

I just bought the bike (49cc dirt bike) and it ran with the first pull. Rode it and it would never rev up like my friends bike (same kind), only like half way. Then last night (day 2) it died twice while riding and wouldn't restart. Long story short, there's no fuel getting to the spark plug. We swapped carbs with a known good one and still nothing. Good spark, fuel to the carb, etc, but nothing is getting to the plug. Any clue ??

I wounder if the spacing between the flywheel and ignition coil is to big !
Try adjusting that, the gap should be the thickness of a business card .

I checked that and it's good ... the problem doesn't appear to be spark though. It's no fuel to the plug. Regardless how much I try to flood it, the spark plug stays dry. I'm starting to think of the reed possibly being bad. Thanks for the response.

Was the carb you switched to not in use for a while?

Brand new ... in fact, it was still warm from the other bike we pulled it off of. This thing is killing me. :)

Is it possible for the case gasket to be loose and not allowing the suction of the gas through the crankcase ??

It could be ! tear it apart and use new gaskets !I personally do not think it is that but try it , process of elimination !

Thanks for the help guys, I'll keep you posted as to what happens. One other question, since these are cheap China bikes that we bought, should we just start replacing parts with quality ones to prevent future down time ?? If so, where's a good place to get parts ?? Thanks again for your help.
