| it is for cold starts. here in florida i dont use my choke at all, but in colder climates or even as the first start of the day you should close the choke for the 1st start. then depending on your bike a lot of times it will start and then die. then you would want to set the choke at half. usually it will run after that and then after it runs for a few moments you can open the choke all the way and go riding

| choke is for cold start,if you need it when its warm you are getting to much fuel adjust your needle |
