sounds to me as if your jet has some dirt in it , open the float bowl of your carb and clean out the main jet , while your there do the rest .

What happens is dirt from your tank , plastic from cutting the fuel hole , and oil plug it up when the bike is sitting and carb is not drained . The fuel evaporates in the bowls and the oil plugs the jet with gunk!

If it is cold out , it maybe running alittle lean too!

Sounds to me like the needle needs an adjustment. Try raising the clip one notch on the needle, but be careful not to lose the little clip. That will make it run a bit leaner in the midrange, and should clear up the rough running.

Make sure youre mixing right, usually when alot of smoke is coming out of your muffler means your mixture is wrong.

who told you that!!!! most pocket bikes come with mixing cans that are the perfect mixing ratio and the really smoke. it's a 2 stroke buddy there gunna smoke.

oh yeah and nate did you ride it in the rain? or any type of wet terrain. i went to ride mine in th e rain and what happend was is the air filter was sucking in water from the tire residou... so if thats what ha[[ened dont try and start it if the air filter is wet wait a good 1-2 weeks and try it again in a warm place its better on the engine. with starting it in the cold it's putting a real strain on the engine b/c your jets arent set. its just like my mx bike cant ride it in winter cuz the carb is set for summer.(warm weather) 2-strokes are real picky and you will learn that

Decent! some people do not know how to measure the fuel/oil ratio and if the bike smokes TOO MUCH, more than it normally should then your mixture is wrong, or the rings are messed up causing blow by! i race 125cc motorcross i know 2 strokes BUDDY!

plus being a 2 stroke, the life of the engine is far less compared to the 4 stroke motors because of mixing oil with fuel to lube the mechanics. As a 4 stroke uses straight oil. Oh well not my, problem not my bike! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

If ya know 2 stroKes friend ,then you also know with improper jetting , needle setting , cleanliness of carb , and weather temps , humidity and elevation all contribute to the lean or richness of the engine ! You may know 2 strokes , and am sure alot of people do to certain degrees , but all have different suggestions to what maybe a , or the problem ! And even how to fis the problem , so do not get aggraviated !
