| Hi I'm new here Be nice to me | Hi everybody! After a long while of browsing this forum and reading up all sorts of information on pocketbikes, i finally decided to register. I know many users here have a lot of knowledge about pocket bikes so i was hoping to get some help. So here's my problem: I have two pocket bikes, one x2 and a super pocket bike. Now i have never had a problem with the x2. It was the first bike that i purchased and at that time, knew alot less about pocket bikes then i do now. What I'm trying to say is that my x2, hasn't been taken care of all that great but it still starts on the first pull and runs great. My super pocket bike, on the other hand seems to require alot more maintenance. So one day i was riding my small pocket bike around. I noticed it was a little harder to start than usual and wasn't running as good and as clean as it did before. Nevertheless it was still running ok so i went around the block a few times and on the stretch i accelerated going at almost top speed. Then the bike started choking for a few second as if there was no more gas and shut off. I checked the gas level which was low but there was still enough. Walked it home, filled it up and tried to start it again. Now it would not start anymore. When I was pulling on the pull cord to start it I noticed it was alot easier to pull than usual. And when I would pull at it to start it would backfire, you could here a shot of aire coming out of the exhaust but it wouldn't start. The choke didn't make a difference either. So now it has been sitting in my garage for the last two weeks and i haven't had a chance to take a good look at it yet. I'm hoping you guys can identify the problem or maybe just let me know what you guys think the problem might be. Thank you very much. |

| Hi I'm new here Be nice to me | anyway, i disassembled the whole bike pretty much. Cleaned out the carb, cleaned the air filter, checked spark plug which seemed to be in good condition. I even changed the fuel lines because the other ones were getting a little brittle. But i still can't get it to start. I noticed though, that even as i pull on the pull start, the carburator isn't pulling in any gas for some reason. help please. |
