| Pocketbike Dealer | NAH! get rid of it ! Wanna get something cool try the Blast boxes in stead ! Never heard any feed back on the blast boxes , but know the boost bottles do squat! Tried , tested , and FAILED Really didn't notice anything , Go with something else for the money, or how about this , I will GIVE you a boost bottle to try , so that you can spend your money , on the good stuff! Heard they only work with higher end CC's

| Administrator Friends call me God ;) | Basically a boost bottle is trying to do what the exhaust already does. If you want to make real power get rid of it and fix your port timing and squish. I don't know the theory on how these things are supposed to work (I'll find out for a future article). But a 2stroke motor pushes fuel/air into the exhaust and then sucks it back in during the compression phase for a larger overall charge in the cylinder. Yes the exhaust port closes before the intake port. The intake port is open longer of course, but where are you going to stuff this additional fuel? With the intake already pulling in fuel, and the exhaust scavenging air/fuel from the pipe you're already saturating the cylinder. I honestly don't think a boost bottle will work on a properly set up motor. Saying that, on a stock bike they MIGHT help, but they will never make as much power as a properly set up motor. |
