The easiest way to solve this is to take your clutch drum and the sprocket to a shop and ask them to put it back together for you. Most people don't have the tool needed to tighten the pinion.

Another easy solution is to simply buy a new clutch drum with pinion attached. For a stock drum with stock pinion you're looking at 20-30 bucks.

Cool

Hey Shaw. I think you are right about that when the pinion is spinning it is tightning Just like the Old Bmx Bikes. Ok Now that was a long time ago But you get the Idea. Or it may be a Big BO BO when thay made the bike with the thread's going the wrong way ? See If some one at a shop can put a set screw in for you ?

the clutch is still engaged and which is like locking the housing and undoing the sprocket. dam, first time i heard of that. and so obvious make sure you dont have any throttle engaged when stopping and use red locktite, that is all i can suggest. let me know the results.
