Thanks Admin. Once I start to tinker with the bike a bit more and figure out what everything is, and what it does, i'll have a better idea of what to ask in the future, and if is even post worthy.

Would the idle screw aid in solving the starting problem? I think the issue was that I was flooding the engine and getting the spark plug wet before any combustion could take place. Might I run into this problem again in the future if my idle screw is loosened or tightened too much?

Yes it would affect starting, because it controls how much air/fuel the motor gets at idle (and start). The reed is what controls everything when the motor is winding up.

Yes you probably would have this problem if it loosened again. Pocketbikes are notorious for having screws come loose due to the high rpm's and rough riding. I've seen bikes almost lose their motors because the bolts holding the motor in worked themselves out.

WOW! I had noticed that some of my body screws had come loose, brake levers, kill switch, minor stuff, but a motor?!? I'll be sure to check everything very thoroughly in the future.

hey threenailz... r u still having trouble with your bike?? I know what you mean mine 'DID' the same thing and now it doesn't... if your using regular 2 stroke oil change it to 100% synthetic. I'm have no problems now.

Nope, no more problems as of yet. Lost a couple of body screws, but nothing major. I'm just reading up and getting familiar with the engine to start my tinkering. I'm still not leaning the bike correctly. I keep sliding out at high speeds. I think i'm diving into the turn too deep and not applying enough front brake to properly slow down, but keep the speed up. It could also be a problem with tires, i'm still running the ones that came with the bike. Maybe there's not enough bite in them. Anyways, thanks for asking.

threenailzDude from what I have read of your sliding out, let Me please try to help you
with these suggestions. 1st; sometimes you can make faster turns and increase lap time by
changing your line. Or 2nd slow for the turn at the same time, look threw the turn. Meaning
while slowing to make the turn, turn your attention and your head and eyes looking at the
or towards the exit of the turn. Your mini will follow your line of sight. I suspect its possible that your looking down at the turn while slowing for the turn. If thats the case, "Dont do that" and above all replace your tires. Quality tires help Big (pun) time. Run approx. 22 - 25lbs. air pressure. A tire with too much air causes it to become harder as the tire heats up. Meaning a tire inflated to lets say 26 - 28lbs can when raced, build up the tires air
pressure to over 30lbs and thats to hard for a tire to grip therefore increaseing your chances that the tire will spin or break traction and guess what, down you go
Good luck Mate.
