| Decent Rider | hey im new to pocket bikes, but i just received mine from Ebay a few days ago. when i got it i mixed the fuel, filled it up and got it started. i was fying up and down my street, it was kinda stalling, then some neighbour told me to change the fuel-air thing. He was talking about the idle screw, so i went home and screwed it in clockwise a bit , and the tires started spinning like crazy so i killed it. i screwed it back out a bit the other way and tried starting it, but it hasnt started since. ive played with the choke, the screw, and the cheap fuel line on/off thing. NOTHING can anyone help me? is there a shop in winnipeg or near st james i can take it to? (im not mechanically inclined i went to Silver heights...) |

| i would try turning the idle screw to where it was then a bit more, if that doesnt help then maybe your carb needs to be cleaned, im pretty sure you dont want to be ride it with the choke on. |

| my cag is the same bike... I just moved the c-clap on the float needle, just unscrew the throttle cable off the carb and the float and all will come out, take the float off the cable and the needle will come out... its on the bottom so you can't miss it... on the needle you'll see like 5 notches on the needle... see where that takes you.... JUST DON'T LOSE THE C-CLAP ITS REALLY SMALL... I got mine before christmas and I just got mine going the other day

| Pocketbike Dealer | There right my friend , you can fine tune your carb by adjusting the needle setting in your carb ........... I know some of you are lacking the confidence to do some of this work , but i promise and am sure that there are other in the forum that will tell u the same, it is easy . 1st of all , you will have to figure out which is making your engine do this , not enough fuel / too much are.........or .......too much fuel / not enough air ......??? if the float bowel has fuel , the jet is clear , meaning clean ..... and the idle screw is 1.5 - 2.0 turns from tight....... it should start ...... your fuel mix should be at least 50 to 1 ......... if your too the bottle your at 25 to 1 , rich .....but good break in ...... from there you will have to check your spark plug to fine tune the carb if your going to play with the needle setting ...... looking at the needle , once you have it out ...... tip aiming down ....there should be a c-clip on it at the top of the needle ....... by raising the clip up from the stock position ....to a notch towards the top of needle will leaning up the amount of fuel entering the engine ..... by going down from stock position or down from center ....... you are making it more rich your plug should not be all black and covered in oil , and it should not be white , it should have a brown look to it ..... better to be oily but , brown .........kinda like a teracotta pot that grandma grows plants in ...just not quite as brown ...... hope this helps ..... or pm me me !
