thanks - i will give it a go... cause bike shops here wont touch em, it took me 2 weeks to find a place to take them off...

also just a slight update - the bike will be featuring white (or possible cherry colour) wall tyres... just to add some more class...

Any half decent mechanic knows he (or she) could mount those tires with hand tools. If they won't do it they're just being lazy.

It shouldn't be harder than mounting bicycle tires, but I think the X7 has tubeless, so dont dent the rim, or you could loose pressure.

I just tried mounting the rubber on my own, haha, no luck! I cant seem to get the rubber all the way around - might have to find a place tomorrow to get it done!

Get a bucket of soapy water and a rag. wipe the inside and outside of the bead of the tire with it to help make it slippery. Then try to mount it again.

You could try to use a hair dryer, since they're low heat, to heat up the tire so it will move more, then when its on, just cool it down with ice or water or something. With the heat, the tire will expand, and go on easier.

well here is the current statue of the bike - as you can see its almost done, wires bloody everywhere - but slowly slowly i will run them all neat!!!

Hopefully i can get it started this weekend, if your thinking why the hell is it hanging off the table its cause i havent mounted the stand yet - and this way the bike stands on its own with rocking while im working on it..

also - if anyone can recommend a wait to get my bike to sit lower to the ground - please let me know - if i shorted the spring at the back will it sit lower? what if i remove it all together? i want it to sit almost on the floor!!! remember its for show - very little riding!
