Default carb tuning problem

i finally got my bike running good and of course, like a couple of cags my girlfriends bike runs bad now. just out of the blue it started bogging at high rpm. i tried mixing some fresh gas for it and it really didnt do much. then i tried leaning it and it got a little better but still not right. i also tried going rich and it is really bad. i am guessing it needs to be even leaner than it can go. i have been doing all of the adjustments with the needle. the bike is 100% stock and i have never had one bit of trouble out of it. there were no changes made to this biek ever. i only had to adjust the idle when i took it out of the box

If the bike stutters at the top end it could be your factory (really crappy) reeds are toast.

makes sence. maybe i will give her my ada fiberglass reeds and i will get the black widow triple stage or even a 4 petal.

i compared our plugs today and hers is a hotter heat range frmo mine even though our bikes are identicle and we bought them at the same time. i am going to try swapping plugs tonight and if that doesnt fix it then i will order new reeds

THEY ARE GOOD ! I had one . But ended up throwing it on a buddy's cag .
I had the whole ADA set up . 44mmBB high compression head kit , 4 peddle reeds, full circle crank , lightened fly wheel , and more LOTS more . BUT is even crazier of a motor now ! Never had good exhaust !

well, i decided to go with a triple stage reed rather than the 4 petal. $100 seems like a lot of money and i already dont have much room around the carb. im not sure if it would fit with the fender on. i got the triple stage from starminis. does anyone know if its going to be any good? its not the black widow, its a copy

i have heard good and bad, the triple stages work better with heavly modded engines as opposed to stock. the ada fg reed works really well on a stock motor
