| neat. so how come my cag can run without a pipe if a 2 stroke engine needs it to use as a reservoir for gas/air?

| Pocketbike Dealer | Do not run your bike without pipe , bad for rings , and engine ! look at the pic , the exhuat goes back in , leaving your engine ( running without pipe ) to suck in air , leaning it out big time!

| Administrator Friends call me God ;) | As said by tutorials and articles many times, a pipe is extremely important to a two stroke. Of course you can run one without it, but more power is achieved by having a proper pipe on your two stroke which includes a header, expansion chamber and stinger. You can achieve even more power with a properly tuned pipe, and yes there is an article on that. |

| personally I wouldn't run a bike with out a pipe.. it sucks some of the exhaust back in and if there isn't a pipe on it there is a good chance that it could suck up sand and do damage.. you don't NEED back presure for a 2-stoke engine to run... look at a hmmm a weed-waker there isn't an expansion chamber just a small muffler

| ....correction for a bike to START! you dont need back pressure. but i have a good example for this, my good friend Nathan (not the most inteligent) had no muffler, and a huge exhaust leak and the bike had absoulotly NO POWER! bike started, but when you opend the throttle bike reved real high and the tire would only spin alittle bit. No back pressure, no power!
