Default Exhaust Replacement

let me guess Cag07 will be the first to post a reply I took the bike for a spin today and hit a rather large bump pretty hard and one of my exhaust pipes fell off and boy was it loud I could probably get away with welding it but have the same thing happen a few weeks down the road or should i just replace the whole thing.Main reason for the post , would this fit my bike and would i need a new gasket? Come on Joey , give me a reason to strip her down so i can do the rocket key and reeds at the same time.....lol

i can give you a reason not to use a stupid rocket key!,there are crap!!lol reeds yes good, your pipe, take the one thats left and cut the "y" off and ust the other tip for a single outlet the duals restrict exhaust flow so just take it to a muffler shop and weld it to where you only have 1 tip,not 2 and take the bike with you so thy can re-weld your rear exhaust hanger

Default here is a pic of the stock pipe mod

here you go.first pic is your pipe now.2nd is where you cut. add 2 1/2 in. extra to the belly(middle) first cut far left cut 1 1/4 in. before the expansion chamber, make sure you cut the part of it that goes INTO the belly,i have seen 3 inches of extra pipe inside the belly,it really hurts back pressure. 3rd pic is the finished product !one of the best and cheapest mods to do to a a/c cag.I done this to my bike, nite and day performance.take a print out of this with you when you go to the muffler shop and show it to the guy so he gets what you mean.might cost 10 bucks, the 2 1/2 extra belly you need to weld in the middle he could just use a strap piece of 3 inch pipe.Alos tell him the pipe is really thin burns threw real easy

as for mods, lighten your flywheel, cut 1 fin leave 2,cut 1 fin leave 2 etc. get an ngk spark plug, does your bike have a open k&n style cone filter or a filter in a black box?you can port your carb, intake side from 12mm to 15mm,grind some off the back of your reed stops so the reeds will open farther, add an extra case to reed block gasket for more crankcase volume, buy a big bore kit(bbk) for more bottom end power THEN you can put higher gearing on it bbk kit on ebay is like 36 bucks .stuff like these will make your bike scream well for a cag anyhow

but do the stock pipe mod i talked about earlier,do 1 thing at a time, yune then do the next, that way if it runs stupid you will know what the problem is. and if you do the stock carb porting, stock pipe mod and the bbk,you will have to re-jet,so buy a jet kit!
