Default Another part bites the dust :-(

put on new exhaust today and forgot to check the silencer clearance from the gas tank before taking it for a spin. Of course you know the result....question is ,whats good for repairing a hole in your gas tank. The hole itself isn't very big. Also may be up for buying a new or used one if anyone can cut me a good deal.

You could use a plastic welder to fix it, or just buy a new tank as they're very cheap.

the JB Weld seemed to work fine...i wouldn't recommend for large holes though.

NOTHING, except plastic welding can permanently stick to the plastic used on these tanks.
And shops that do plastic welding are hard to find, try RV repair shops, they use it to fix the big water tanks in rv's.
Or maybe some farm equip repair shops, again for repairing fluid tanks.

But, come on,
it's worth about $10-15,
it holds gasoline,
between your legs,
almost touching the hottest part of the bike,
do yourself a favor, get a new one.

I thought you can get one of those plastic welder kits at canadian tire?
