dellorto carb-bike running rich - PocketBikeForum.com

I recently bought a 14/14 dellorto rep carb for my cag, and the bike will not run right. The plug is black, indicating that it is running rich. It will idle perfectly but it bogs severely when I give it some gas.

The bike is stock except for an ADA fiberglass reed.

Ok, so ive got a couple questions...

What is the stock jet size for this carb?

Where can I get smaller jets?

What are you mixing your gas at? (ratio)

I ended up finding some jets from scooter parts for less. I put the .70 jet in it and the plug is a nice light brown color. It runs great now and feels faster.

Ive been mixing my gas at either 25:1 or 50:1.

Its either, or. Dude whatever you did
mix at.....light brown is good....
50 parts or ounces gas and 1 part or ounce oil..
vs. 25 parts or ounces gas to 1 part or ounce oil...
theres a huge difference there MDude....
If I were you....I'd be careful not to forget
how you mixed the batch that your running now
to get that light brown color on your plug...
