Default Pocket Bike won't start

For some reason my son's pocket bike doesn't want to start today... it was running just fine yesterday but for some reason it won't fire today. In fact, when I pull the cord the bike tries to lurch forward. In addition, the bike won't roll backwards. It's like it is stuck in gear. Anyone have some idea's of what I should do??
The bike is a 49cc Cateye, if that helps any.

clutch spring is broken you need a new clutch. take the clutch bell off of the left side of the bike and check the clutch

Hey thanks... I'll check that when I get a chance. Kinda surprising... I just installed a new clutch. Ya think I can just replace the spring?? I know the clutch was kinda spendy.

I don't know anything about cateye's but I do know lots about 47cc cags and I know that those ones you can get new springs for so I bet you can just get new springs
