Hey this is my first posting.

I picked up 49cc dirt bike at one of those As seen as TV stores a few weeks ago. The guy at the store didn't know squat about engines. He said it being a two stroker it wouldn't carry my fat 145lb butt and tried to sell me a four stroker. What an idiot. The owner's manual says it will carry up to 165 lbs and moves me up hills just fine. Allot better than my 3.5hp four stroker Manco. It requires more takeoff to go up hills and takes allot longer to rev up.

I've been having trouble identifing the maker of this bike in case I need to buy new parts. Best I can figure out it's called Zeimni. In Britian I think they are sold as Mini Moto. Or that may just be a slang Brit term for pocket bike. I don't know.

I need to remove a link from the 3/8" chain but so far haven't been able to locate another chain of that size. This chain does not have a master link! In the meantime I had to stack a bunch of flat washers behind the adjuster to tighten the chain. I figure it's just a matter of time where the chain stretches to the point to where a link is going to have to be removed.

Because I'm 5' 10" tall the handlebars conflicted with my knees so I raised the handlebars up about 6" using water pipe, a couple of tees and longer bolts (3/8" I think). The handlebar brackets will accept the head of this bold which I think is 14mm.

I went to a bike store and purchased longer brake cables. I later found these at Wal-Mart for $6.00.

I rerouted the throttle cable and brake cables through the hole in the forks.

as far as performance parts go, any cag parts should fir on their nicely.

So who built this bike? Say it's not a 49cc Zemini?

The bike runs great but I keep throwing the chain off. That's the only problem I've had with it. The chain tension was too loose when I got it. It needs a link removed.

I can't seem to get it properly adjusted. I have to go above the 1/2" deflection rule, like 1/4" deflection to keep it from flying off. You can see from the photo where I had to stack a bunch of flatwashers behind the adjustment nuts to gain more adjustment. I ran out of threads.

I have to adjust the tension about every other time I ride the bike. Usually when I hit a hard bump. Maybe I'm not tightening the 17mm axle nuts tight enough.

k buddie, i almost guarentee this is the problem, (but must remove a link first) where i work people come in all the time, and have the same problem. you should have someone sitting on the bike when you tention the chain. (when you sit on the bike, the shock compresses, creating more slack on the chain)

Found me a #35 chain at Lowes hardware (of all places) today. Thanks for the advise on the chain tension. I'll give it a try. Thanks.

its alright with the pocketdirtbikes are geared toward little kids like 4-6 yearolds more then a 38 thats 5'11''. im 6'4'' and i can barely get on them but on a real pocketbike im fine. I find if you really wanna race a mini motard. Just buy an old yz50 lol but seriously nice bike bro!

the infamous y zinger, 50 cc was and still is a classic. suzuki made 1 as well i beleive. the y zinger had a transmission that would engage by flicking a switch on the handlebars. they were pretty quick too.
