Default Investors ??? Track ??? This could work !

After dropping off some of our membership packages and talking about the future of RCMRRA .
A TRACK
A place we can call our own , BUT will not just be mini moto racing . It will be a park , mini moto , karting , sport bike stunting , sport bike racing , weekends , show and shines , a place for safety course , etc. !
Example - city of winnipeg wants those cars of portage ave . I have contacted them in the past about this sort of idea and responded with interest .
Plan - develope a non profit or not for profit business and look for funding through the government and other funding agencies .
This is a plan that would work great for us .
All monies accumilated for track fees and such have to be turned back into the track , a bonus ! track every year should get better and better .
But maybe restricted to what things we can do , in the way of sales ( mini parts stores , consessions , etc. ) .

Another way to look at this is to look for investors .
Personally would love to to do this with investors , and feel the best way to do this is with a proposal of a vision . A vision of what all the investors would love to see. Sweat equity and cash investments.

There will be a few of us making a project of this , to see what types of ideas we can develope , and make ourselves a Track to call home !

I think investors would be an awsome idea!
this way we dont have one person making all the decisions, cause this way whenever a decision is made, it is majority ruled!
(bad decision= own fault for not voting aginst it!)

(goverment giving up 10 dollars= close to impossable!)
but with lots of irrataion i think we can get somewhere!

to get money from the Government you'd have to have a profit. during the summer I was looking into starting a go-kart track and it was a terrible Idea. I emailed the guys at speedworld and they told me not to even think about it cuz of costs and insurence. the insurence will be the killer. I even email Thunder Rapids for some info and they told me that the start up costs are crazy. but I looked into it anyway. For a track on a property with a building already up with all the equipment that I need would have costed almost $200,000. Grants are a bad way to go for a non-profit like what your thinking, cuz the government want to see a profit from the company. I talked to ALOT of people andcompanies about Grants, they all want to see profit... Grants have a bad side to them, if you company goes belly under within 3 years then they want there money back. I worked on that project for about 3 months and she just wouldn't turn out. I think the best way would be with the investors, theres alot of people and companies that would donate
