| *** Originally created by davation at pocketbikeplanet.com ** Materials needed: -Two stock reeds (or one stock and one carbon-fiber or fiberglass) -Dremel or tin snips (I used tin snips) -Sharpie marker -File or grinder bit for dremel Very easy mod to do - this is all it takes: -Use the Sharpie to mark one reed to resemble the top reed on a Black Widow triple stage reed set. -Remove the excess material using your dremel or tin snips. -Once you have cut the sides of the reed down to resemble the Black Widow reed, smooth out the edges using a file or dremel grinder bit. -Install on your reed block BETWEEN full reed and reed stop - you will be layering this reed over a full-sized reed. -Take bike out for a test run Performance increase: lessen top end flutter, smooths out powerband. For additional performance value: -While reed stop is out, shave down underside of reed stop (curved part) so that reeds can open further.
