Great news!

Pocketbikeforum has acquired another domain name. The name was previously in use by another site and still has links in google, hotbot, msn and yahoo.

By acquiring this domain we should receive the traffic that was going to the old site. In addition to this traffic we get a boost by having a URL that is already indexed by the above search engines. Users searching for a community such as ours should be able to find us easier now.


The domain acquired is pocketbikeforum.ca. It will take a few days for DNS to resolve and finally point to this forum.

No one is relying on any traffic from any specific source. However the domain had good placement in the search engines and that is why it was purchased.

It also has good traffic from type-ins, which means users finding the forum by simply typing the domain name in. In the last 48 hours there was a good amount of traffic from both type-ins and search engines coming back to reindex the domain that the small cost of the domain makes up for it all.

As for previously named users, I have no problem with them joinging the board. They need to follow the rules just like everyone else does. Our rules are a bit slack for now, and I hope it can stay that way. We want this forum to be friendly and accessable to anyone.

As for traffic, another name has been pointed to this forum which will bring in more search engine traffic. Lets start bringing in more users!
