| Pocketbike Freak | finaly got my bike together last night..took it for a ride..does not rattle too much because of the fcc..but holy does it go...could not top it out.. need to adjust that banshee clutch so it is a bit closer to the power band.. i think it was getting hot also..seems since there are only about 6 teeth on the flywheel it gets a little hot.. i installed a alum flatbat 1/8X3/4 " from the engine mounting plate to the right side of the L7 frame where the frame cover used to bolt onto..it seems to cut down on the vibrations quite a bit.. wish i had a cam or i would take some pics.. also moving the gsxr steering damper from the outer frame mount to inside was a big relief no i can put my foot back on the pegs... well need more testing.. | Pocketbike Freak | i bent an aluminum flat bat in a cresent shape and drilled and bolted to the bottom of the motor platae under the head..then ran it up aout past the head and twisted it and bolted to where the frame covers on the L7 frame used to bolt.. what this does is add another motor mount from the front of the motor basket to the frame..sorta like the upper mount does on the clutch side...makes everything a little mot solid..the original setup of the motor mounts on these bikes is odd..motor hung with no front support... |
