Default A track in Winnipeg

I'd like to visualize a few things, so please help me out a little.

If I said we could start a track this spring. What could you bring to the table? Below are some examples of what might be needed.

Bobcat
truck(s) and trailers
gravel (semi loads)
asphalt
roller for above
manual labour (more than just weekends if possible)
cash (bunches)
pressure treated wood (framing, 4x4 posts, 4x8 sheets)
paint
water storage
portapotty
fencing (chain link, 6-8 foot)
skillz that killz (track design/cad)
insurance

A thought that has crossed a number of our minds is to try a social to raise funds. That could make a few thousand dollars but it wouldn't be enough.

Of course this has to be a lot more detailed in the end, and I don't want anyone nitpicking right now. I just want to know if anyone has access to any of the above at better than retail pricing or if you have the goods/equipment already.

i could bring:
a bachoe which is bigger than a bobcat, trucks and trailers, a tandem with a box for gravel, the skills to do some fencing, And i know how to use the bachoe. but for cash maybe we should have a bake sale.
But Admin do you have some land in mind?

a bake sale? try to see if the local motorcycle shops and pocketbike shops out there can help out.. and maybe the city..if you can explain the good that it will bring the city.. then you might just get some help from the city..

Yup I'll be talking to the city, I've already thought of that one. But I've got to get some info first before I do that.

In a previous post on the forum I mentioned to be watching out for some info on a track. This is where it starts. Is there a deal in the works? I won't say at this point.

shawn the list looks great, I'll keep everyone updated. Other people please let me know what's possible.

There's no way we can handle insurance at the prices we got last year. Sure we have to charge to ride, but not many people are going to show if we have to charge 30-40 per day just to pay for insurance and everything else.

I want to see the price of the insurance halved at least, and I don't know if that can happen.

then good luck !

I do not know where everyone expects to ride for free , if thats the case keep on looking for empty parking lots to go ride on , because , sorry everyone , everthing costs money , you wanna ride it will cost money , you wanna lower that price , find yourself a sponsor ! Any sport you join you have a cost , even Karting , and you don't even own the ride ! So instead of saying it is too much , go to grand prix and try and ride all day , you will be paying over 200. 00 to 300.00 in tickets , if what i found isn't cheep enough then go ride a go kart !

Everyone has to make money , i don't care who you are ! And what a new sport hits the province which is very high risk dangerous , and you expect them to give it for free , LIKE I SAID , GOOD LUCK .

Cma would be cheep , but if i remember correctly admin YOU, where the one huming and hawing over the registration fee of 60.00 ( if i remeber correctly on that price ) and that still didn't get you riding in gimli!

Look at the boys in calgary , they are able to charge 300.00 for a membership . so why can't we , Oh i am gonna say i do not think they have there insurances in place yet either because they asked me , but i could be wrong ! So there costs might end up higher yet ! things to think about before you ask for cheap ! But will still look!

the first thing we've gotta do is get attendance up. we know there is at least 300 to 400 pocketbikes in wpg. so we've gotta find these people and get them racing. the more racers the less money to race
