GREAT NEWS!!
We met yesterday with Mr. Jay Fox, President of the AMRA (Alberta Mini RoadRacing Association [http://amra.ca/]) to discuss having our association work together. This will help bring the track costs down and will benefit everyone involved. We are hoping that this will allow us to book the track one night every week so that will it will be affordable for everyone!!

Even better news!!!!

The AMRA wants all of us to join AMRA and they do have a pocket bike class! Please go to there website for all the details.
A few quick points;
-everyone will be required to have proper gear (leathers are NOT mandatory)
-8 Calgary race events this year!! 6 out of town events (road trip)
-Race days;
-riders meeting at 9am
-track time till noon
-race classes in the afternoon
-competitive, but all in fun! (leave your ego in the parking lot)

-THE AMRA IS SET TO HOST OUR 5TH ANNUAL AMRA/CMRA DAYTONA 200 PARTY AT THE RUSTY CAGE BAR & GRILL SATURDAY MARCH 11/2006 DOORS OPEN AT 10:30 AM RACING STARTS AT 11:30 AM SHARP. 1690 37TH STREET SW. CALGARY GREAT DOOR PRIZES AND OUR FAMOUS 50-50 DRAW (KIDS WELCOME)

COSTS (please see ww.amra.ca for more details)
-$75 for AMRA yearly membership (adult). Family memberships are available.
-$60/event if you prepay before March 11/06. $75/event after March 11/06
-$60 yearly CMA membership needed for insurance
-$160 post dated check that is only paid if you do not help the club ie. Volunteer or bring Volunteers. If you are involved with helping out or bring a sponsor you pay $0
-OUT OF TOWN RIDERS- you need to be CMA members and pay only for the event you attend!!

I and many others in the PBRA are very excited to join the AMRA and want to encourage you to join as well!! Let’s show the AMRA how far our sport has come and how fun it is. The AMRA is doing everything we have set out to do, so it only makes sense to work together to make it affordable for everyone.

Hey guys, that means we race Saska in September! We are also still tring to make the 18th of March work! Still looking forward to meeting up with you guys here or in Sask at anytime that works!

Guys this is what it is all about!! You do not want to miss being a part of this season. And oh yah......did I mention,

The AMRA now has their own TRACK

It is located 30min west of Leduc. This does not mean that we (I say we as a proud member) will not still be using the Calgary and Edmonton tracks but that means that we now have our own track to ride as well [smilie=drogar-biggrin(lbg).gif]

Also I am very excited to say that Phat Bikes is going to be the proud sponsor of the Pocket Bike Class [smilie=pdt_velo.gif] [smilie=podium.gif]

So what does all this mean....

-more riding then you can handle at every event
-you must be a AMRA member to participate in the test/tune days (out of province guys may be an exception)
-appropriate gear (must have back protector)

Bring your check book and you can pay for everything that day. The costs will be, if you pay before March 15th

$60 x 8 events
$75 AMRA Membership
$60/yr for CMA membership
Total for the whole year of racing/riding $615 (about $6/hour!!!)

Also a post dated check for $160 that you get back if you do volunteering , bring volunteers or get a sponsor.

You don't have to pay for the events if you only want to do the test/tune days but guaranteed you will want to race after a test/tune day!

After March 15th it is $75/event, better to sign up now!!

P.S. we have a new PB rider....Grumpy Gus is all over it!! He's just a small guy and will fit the bikes perfectly [smilie=drogar-blackeye(lbg).gif]
