Default water cooled distress..

ok here is an issue..
my bike c2 kinda missfires..sometimes it just will not fire...
runs great at high rev but cannot get it to rev under load...
i have since changed flywheel,intake,carb,reeds, clutch head dome.gas filter..plug....
even diconnected the kill switch..
raised cylinder with another gasket..changed to higher compression dome..
now i have been offered air leak(vacuum leek),,timing(dont know how that would happen)..
it is jsut a rotten coil?
any ideas please..need to get this biyatch running..

It misfires? Check the timing.. DOH not a four stroke

A vacuum leak should be more pronounced as RPM's go up. It sounds like there is an issue with air/fuel intake and combustion.

You say you added a gasket to adjust your port timing, but did you do anything with the head to modify your squish? If you added gaskets and haven't modified your squish then your dome area is going to be large. Putting in the same amount of air/fuel into a larger area is going to give you less power due to loss of compression.

just kidding

take a propane torch and start the bike and hold the torch unlit around the motor where leaks could be. when the bike revs up you found the leak.good luck

Carb gasket is one spot, intake gasket would be next. Also check the exhaust gasket but you should be able to see that by smoke/oil coming out there.

Since you mentioned that the head has more than one gasket, make sure you didn't pop one out.

use propane fluid when the bike is running spray the intake and head seals every thing it will rev up quicker since i burns better than gas and thats where the leak might be works good on sleds for us.
