Just like what Device said but here is the pic of what it should look like on the spool. Hope it helps. Its very easy and fast. A video tutorial would be best. That would be a lot easier for the others to understand. Good Idea Admin. Well here is the pic anyways.

ya I think I'm a king at recoiling it, I had to do that every time I started my cag ... the screw would come out and you'd hear a snap and I had to rewind it back in... what fun... oh and I found out its alot easier if you open the inside hook a little bigger and bend it outwards a little bit

I never had that problem. I've done this so many times cuz I went through 4 starter already. Breaking them. Too much compression in my motor. But change it and made the housing stronger. Hey freakin you might want to use some loctite so the screw dun come loose on you.

As a heads up, I'll be posting something new so users can start their bike easier. I've discussed it with others, and it should work. However we haven't tested it yet.

The bad news, I have a pull start that needs fixing.

The good news, you'll soon see TWO tutorials on fixing pull starts. One for a cag and one for a cat eyes which was just brought in for repairs.
