Not being able to take pocketbikes on a plane is not a rumor, I actually called and spoke to the airlines and asked. I called westjet for sure, and I think the other was air canada. There is another post on the forum in regards to this.

It wasn't just the service center I spoke to either, I spoke to people in baggage and shipping so it really is the truth, not just some dumbarse who said no because they didn't know the answer.

What if you took it all apart and and put it into a "carry-on bag" ?

Big;
I will get a contact list of everybody in the AMRA (over 80 members and Edmonton over 20 members) but I will also need your list! I spoke to Berna who is the Queen of mini road racing in Canada and the brains behind the AMRA and she is already working on government funding for an event like this. If we make it international we can get even more money from Mr. Harper! The gov funding would not happen till next year though but who cares, I'm sure we can still put this thing together! PM me on Phat Phorum with your e-mail address.

I really think that we need to decide on a location, Calgary is my vote unless someone can organize this on a better track? We pick a date and make this happen.

phatbikesDude You Rock! Next year is good too. Meaning I did not expect this Event to Happen like over nite. I'm sure there's alot to prepare for, but this thing/Event appears
like its gunna happen....OMG I'll prepare My compiled List of Heavy Hitters that I know and have spoken to in person and by phone on numerouis occations and at great length.
Its gunna take Me a little while to prepare, but I'll start on it tonite after I get off work.
where do I send it....I'll need an E-Mail address to attach it to. There are a couple People I still need to contact and ask them if its cool to associate there name with this oppertunity
to Create an International Event...I don't foresee any problems though. Try to include
every Forum in the GWN and include there members for example....PBF has 137 curent
members....OPBRL has 24 members PhatBPhorm has 68 members GTA has ect ect ect
and don't forget to include all the Racing associations example CMMQ, AMMRA, OPBRL ect ect ect I'll give you simular U.S. forums along with My compiled list. And get ahold of
Blata Canada and see if they have any Ideas they can drop on you.............

"keep Me in the loop, espeacialy if U.S. Riders are involved....(that would be Me)...."Do it man, Good Luck" were his words. And while we were talking we both mentioned Roberts name (Sava Canada) Robert, if your reading this, Would you like to lend your support to the cause,......please?
I ride a Blata B-1 if that makes any difference...............phatDude My list is almost done. You will be getting a copy E-mailed to you from Me soon. I have a Hella list compiled

This would be awsome!!! I'm honestly thinking that we may even be on track for next year, 08. What we are doing this year is smaller than this, but certainly a door opener for the future of the sport if this event is as much of a success as it's shaping up to be. Again, I'm talking about the OPBRL INVITATIONAL EVENT. I don't want to post a whole fence regarding this event, but I am instead just trying to attach it to related topics.

This invitational event is open to all, and having this event under the Canadian belt should make an International event that much more successful. Recognition in Canada as having a selection of top riders, would certainly open up the possibility of others attending from greater distances.

I know some of you are attending this event, and I'm "over" excited about your visit to our event. This should make for an amazing weekend.

See you at the track!

Further details can be found on our home site at www.opbrl.com

If you have to remove the link, I understand.
