Due to recent and past events, I think some things need to change, and I ask everyoneto consider the following. Some of which has been discussed before.

1) start taking a fee each week to cover a number of items below. If everyone pays $5 per week we could;

a) pay for advertising - lets get new riders out there (and spectators!). I found some costs out today and they are very reasonable.

b) Purchasing or reimbursement of first aid equipment. A huge first aid box along with at least two fire extinguishers (for different areas of the track). With a system like this we could provide bandaids or whatever was needed in case of accidents. First aid equipment could go under the tent where everyone could find it when they need it.

c) Help pay for the costs of cleaning out the portapotty which Vern is currently paying for.

d) Surplus funds could go to additional advertising in alternate venues

NOTE I don't think this fee is harmful or excessive in any way. However if any of the riders seriously cannot afford it I'm sure it could be waived for them.


2) Perhaps we need more organization - I know everyone wants to race, but one additional person watching the race along with me working flags and we should be able to track everyone who is causing issues. I know help has been offered and I turned it down, but I think we need to do this now. With bikes spread out over half the track sometimes I can't watch everyone at once.

3) Hierarchy - We gotta know who's "boss" and who's in charge of what. We should delegate some responsibility to other members so they can help us organize. Volunteers are the only way we're going right now. Believe it or not none of us make any money from organizing these races. If we wanted to profit we'd be asking for $20 a head and riders wouldn't ever have to worry about anything.

a) Who is/are the head organizers?
b) Who is in charge of what?
c) Is there anything we are lacking help with that we need support for?

NOTE Sure parts are sold on race day, but with the time involved in helping people install them or talking about the parts, finding prices, making deals etc there really isn't any profit made. Do you realize that profit margins on parts are as low as 5%? That means a $10 part a dealer makes $0.50.

From what I can see right now, the organizers of the race(s) are Vern, Gil, Kris and myself. If I have missed anyone I apologize. And I'll be honest and say that I've been to less races than most of you, but when I come out I'm doing flags all day and setting up the races and doing as much as I can to help the riders so they can go out and ride and not worry about anything. I'm not complaining however. Am I correct in that list of people? I don't even know, and people should know.

Much of the above has been discussed previously with vern, kris, gil and myself over time. I hope none of this comes as a surprise to anyone, I'm only offering my opinions and attempting to help us all out.

I'd love comments on everything I've said. I know it's a lot for one post so please keep your replies on topic.

I have no problem paying a user fee, and I have a huge first aid box at home with stuff in it already I would be willing to give, a few things would have to be added but here is a lot of stuff in there already, it is the size of a small briefcase. I had it when I used to own large dangerous reptiles and used it quite a bit, when a 8 foot monitor lizard bites your arm and you need 16 stitches I had to have something around to use until I got to emergency. LOL

I will have to say a special thanks to Mr Emery and Sean ! These guys have made race days easier each time ............
Perosnally i feel we should hit a strip club , or hire one of those girls that holds up the sign during boxing matches ......you all know , the one in the bikini that everyone loves to gawk at ...............ya thats it ......... and have her with the present lap count ,..................or in the corners with a wet tee shirt waving a flag jumping up and down cheering. Yes that is what we should do ......( boy benadril gives you a mad imagination) NO one would be touching ( at least not the orange ones anyway) cones or not paying attention to flags !
Speeking of which , study the flags boy , know what they mean ! Cause we are going to have to inforce them real soon !!!!
And yes as for charging at the races , said it should have been done a long time ago ! to ask for 5 $ from all is not asking too much ..........DONATIONS ! Please forward them to our secretary of rcpba ,Sean Emery ! Anything that may be useful to us or money is awesome !
All of us work hard at getting u parts and accessories for your rides ....... and yes at a low mark up ........ but behind the scenes alot of work is done to organize and create an environment that everyone can enjoy ! And for some of us to see a new sport come alive and some day see or Kids racing there little hearts out ( guess by then i will have to fire the flag girls LOL).
Not to mention the people right now in north america that are doing whatever they can to create a international minimoto gp ! I am so pumped its un believable !
so what everyone think ........ can you come up with a couple bucks when you come out and ride ...........?

I did a inventory of the first aid kit I have and it is complete just needs maybe some hp and some tape for the pressure bandages. Does anyone here know CPR? I know how to do it for my pets, not on people tho...

We are going to need cpr girls ! ,Cause there is no way in hell i will suck or blow any friggin guy LOL. If we ever have to give the cpr , i am pulling a bike pump or compressor out !

gil i think the CPR girls would be bad cause i know most of us would be crashing purposesly but for the air compressor i got a big one at the races now hooked up to a generator so we will be good.

Hmm, I think there is something in the first aid kit that you use so that your lips do not have to touch the other guys, but aww come on I bet a lotta of u guys have secretly wanted to kiss Vin Diesel, I know I did LOL even if he is gay!

i think a course would be good for a couple guys. i will make some emails and cost enquiries and go from there. 5 bucks is good and if we need to waive a fee here or there to keep someone in a sfe enviroment , so be it.i have and so dooes sean got fire ext. we have 2 first aid kits and more supplies is good.sorry about typing. hurts like hell. keep you posted.
